The “Fairy Tale House” project by designer Dana Dragoi is dedicated to a two-storey house in Bucharest (Romania), specifically designed to be bright and comfortable, but also minimal and functional. Given the small spaces for a 3-people family, wallpapers really helped the designer to create “visual illusions” and different atmospheres for each room.
The common features among the selected wallpapers are pastel shades and complementary colors. In order to meet the clients’ tastes – who love earth tones -, the designer chose some wallpapers that could both match with each other and create a dominant color in the whole house.
Fishing, the owner’s main passion, became the inspiration for the living room design: “Diomede” wallpaper, realized by The Sisters for the Art Collections, brings into the room the enchanted shores of a poetic lake.
In the staircase that leads upstairs, instead, we find a modern and minimal style, thanks to “Sir Elton” (color variant: Warm) wallpaper from the Geometric Notes collection.
Then, upstairs we find contemporary, geometric, and bright-colored wallpapers. In the bathroom, “Janis” (color variant: Ocra) decorates both the walls and the door. In the kid’s bedroom, instead, we find two color variants (Blue and Black&White) of “Major Tom” wallpaper. Both “Janis” and “Major Tom” are part of the Geometric Notes collection.
Designer Dana Dragoi explains that, thanks to Tecnografica wallpapers, she managed to get that “wow effect” that she constantly looks for in all her projects.
