“The emotions and feelings that a restaurant brand awakens in its customers are what distinguishes it. It is built step by step and becomes a distinctive sign, which creates a connection with the client and gives coherence to the whole project.”
This is how the team of Francisco Segarra, a vintage and industrial furniture supplier for contractors and retailers, describes the project of interior design for the new Asoko restaurant in Castellón (Spain). Following the success of other five Asoko restaurants in the province of Castellón, the owners decided to open a new one in the provincial capital. Therefore, the concept of the new restaurant had both to respect the consolidated brand image and adapt to the style and the tastes of the city.
Francisco Segarra’s interior designers realized a modern and luxurious restaurant, characterized by a feminine and elegant atmosphere, respecting all the standards of the oriental restaurants. The place has a well-defined color palette focused on black and gold. Every space has been enhanced to optimize the reduced area in the best way, trying to create intimate but well-connected environments.
The designers chose velvet as a main textile and wood for the furniture, to soften the nuances and reduce the strong contrasts. The wallpaper designs by Tecnografica gave additional touches to the space.
The wallpapers have been applied to customize two of the most important points of this place: the bar counter and the main walls.
The bar counter is placed at the entrance of the restaurant, the very first point of contact with clients. The counter, which is made of a resin top with a turquoise-rust effect, is fully covered by wallpaper in “Sonet” graphic design, from Old London collection. This pattern recalls the traditional chinoiseries.
On the main walls of the space has been installed the wallpaper “Gate”, signed by the artist MAD for the Art Collections. Also this particular design evokes the atmosphere and the landscapes from the Orient, keeping the line with the overall style of the area. This wallpaper has been customized to cover all the walls and to guarantee the continuity of the design, with no redundancies.
