“Scacco matto” by Vittoria Ostini

The #EpicRenderChallenge has finally a winner!
We received many renders, your imagination was spectacular and your commitment absolutely extraordinary! Especially for this reason, taking a decision (trust us!) was really difficult but the Epic Render Challenge needed a single winner…

After careful analysis, it is Vittoria Ostini’s render which she dedicated to the renowned Sherlock Holmes character that convinced Tecnografica’s Creative Department. Vittoria’s project entitled “Checkmate” is the one that best interpreted this challenge, creating clear references to the epic protagonist, furnishing the room coherently.

The Italian designer has always been passionate about he British historical period between the late 19th and the early 20th centuries, the Victorian Age. Therefore, her intent was to create an imaginary room dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, iconic character of those years.
The room is structured through typical  historic details, such as the wooden floor, boiserie wall panels, dark colors, and objects that today we define vintage.

To enhance the environment, Vittoria reserves ample space for the “Dairon”  Wallpaper created by MAD (Marco Pulga) for the Tecnografica Art Collections, which the winner describes as a “floral painting, valid interpreter of a classic Victorian style villa atmosphere”. In this ambience, the wallpaper is as much a protagonist as the Baker Street investigator himself.

“Moreover”,  says Vittoria,  “the scene shows one of Holmes’ favorite hobbies, chess. But a doubt remains: did he win or lose the match?”

We don’t know the answer  about Sherlock’s match, but we do know the final result of #EpicRenderChallenge… Congratulations to Vittoria!
