Architect Romualda Dainelienė from Iqon design studio was in charge of redesigning a small apartment in an historical building located in the center of Vilnius (Lithuania). The arches of the original windows inspired the main theme of this renovation. In fact, the arches can be found in all rooms, in doorways decorations, in the wallpaper design and in some furniture elements. The apartment has a vintage style, with a contemporary touch thanks to its vibrant and contrasting colors. Color blue avio is another thread in this apartment, as it recalls the furniture, the doors, the textiles and the decorative elements.
Architect Romualda Dainelienė chose “Futura” wallpaper design to decorate the wall in the living area, which includes the kitchen and the living room. Its architectural motif brings to mind the courtyards of the Old City of Vilnius, and the perspective effect broadens the perception of space. Moreover, the colors of the graphic design remind the chromatic palette of the living room.
