Filter Zone – Mameli Home project by GuMi Studio

Tecnografica took part in the “Mameli Home” project, the renovation of a real estate in Milan for the well-known Italian make-up artist Manuele Mameli.

From Sardinia originally, Manuele moved to Milan to pursue his work ambitions and, like many other “off-site” boys, he always had to adapt to shared apartments in order to put his career first. After many sacrifices and deserved successes, Manuele Mameli managed to realize the same dream for himself that in the past had also belonged to his parents: buying his first home. This is how the “Mameli Home” project came to life, elaborated in the smallest details by the Gumi Studio architecture firm in Milan. The entire house has been designed to represent an oasis of tranquility and relaxation. Feeling often anxious and stressed, Manuele wanted a “nest”, a home to come back to after days away in order to switch off. The architects fulfilled Manuele’s wish, opting for soft and soothing colors throughout the house.

Thanks to the collaboration with Manuele Mameli and Gumi Studio, Tecnografica has supplied the wallpapers that cover the so-called “Filter Zone” as well as the divison panel in the “Glam Room”.

The “Filter Zone”, in particular, has the function of separating the sleeping area from the living area. Thanks to three arches, you can access the living room, the dining room and the kitchen. To decorate the space, we find the “Livingstone” wallpaper in its new ‘Blue’ variant: now available in the catalog, this special color variant was created specifically for the “Mameli Home” project. In fact, thanks to the customization service, the Tecnografica designers have applied blue tones and gold shades to the graphic subject, as expressly requested by Manuele and his team of architects. The goal was to respect the color palette of the house and create a direct color match with the golden profiles of the walls.
The jungle design and its retro references cover all the walls of the “Filter Zone”, making those who enter it completely immerse themselves in an exotic dream atmosphere. Furthermore, to broaden the perception of space and to create a continuous play of reflections, mirrors were installed on the ceiling. The final effect is surprisingly spectacular.
The Tecnografica wallpaper selected for the “Filter Zone” was chosen in our Skin finish, which has a smooth surface to the touch and sight, further enhancing the details of this design, entirely hand-drawn by our designers.
