Casa RG project by Matteo Martini Architetto

From the East to the West

Matteo Martini Architetto studio was responsible for the redesign of a top floor apartment in Paolo Sarpi area, in Milan. The aim of this work was to create an oasis of serenity and peace in a notoriously busy city district, experimenting with new solutions for interior design.
The project was conceived as a continuous space defined by shades of gray for walls and floors, and walnut wood for the furniture. The apartment has a Japandi style, which combines Nordic minimalism with warm shades of oriental influence.

The whole house is essentially minimal. However, the Matteo Martini Architetto studio has decided to break the rigorous style given by the few furnishing elements in the living room by installing “Livingstone” wallpaper. The jungle motif of this wallpaper in the shades of the house gives movement and depth to the environment.
