The Alessandri Architetti studio handled a complex project: transforming a bakery inside an early 20th-century building into a residential apartment. The clients, from the very beginning, showed very clear ideas about the spaces to be achieved with the renovation: eat-in kitchen, living room, hidden and closable home office, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and laundry area. The Alessadri Architetti studio managed to meet all the clients’ requests, redistributing the available spaces to the best of their ability.
Particularly, the home office was expressly requested by the client to be able to work from home, without having to sit in the living room and move the pc and documents at the end of the working day or when guests arrive. The office area was therefore designed communicating with the living room and it is closable by two large sliding doors. In order to conceal its entrance, ‘Madras‘ wallpaper was installed seamlessly on both the living room wall and the doors. ‘Madras’ is one of wallpapers signed by the artist MAD for Tecnografica’s Art Collections.
