Architect Claudia Schultheis has transformed a 280 m² apartment in San Sebastián, Spain, into a luxury residence with a cosmopolitan character. The project, Cosmopolitan, blends classic architecture and contemporary design, with particular attention to the use of wallpapers by Tecnografica Italian Wallcoverings to enhance the identity of the rooms.
Three spaces stand out for the strategic use of these decorations:
Second bedroom: a romantic and feminine atmosphere with ‘Sensai‘ paper, characterized by floral and bird motifs, accompanied by soft textures and a neutral palette with color accents.
Third bedroom: a masculine and elegant style with the ‘Japan Forest‘ paper, in gray and golden tones, which recalls an oriental forest and combines with fine materials such as wood, linen and velvet.
Third bedroom bathroom: a touch of luxury with ‘Kintsugi‘ paper, inspired by the Japanese gold repair technique, applied in a water-repellent H2O version to resist humidity.
The renovation involved structural interventions and the selection of tailor-made materials and furnishings, creating a perfect balance between eclectic maximalism and contemporary classicism. The result is a home that expresses luxury, functionality and emotion, with wallpapers as key elements to personalize spaces.
